Campus Recycling Champions is an initiative of Green Janitors Sustainable Initiative, Green Janitors are environmental allies that show up wherever they suspect danger for the environment. Our objective is to create an optimal business environment for sustainable growth, job creation and innovations through recycling of environmental, industrial, climate and energy waste.
Our aim for Campus Recycling Champion is to inculcate the habit of REDUCE, REUSE, AND RECYCLE. We believe if every average student on campus have a proper orientation and mindset on proper waste separation, this will be a direct impact on households and will help mitigate and adapt to the climate change.
They act as environmental corps on the campus who see to the green and clean environment. As a member of Campus Recycling Champions, they provide free waste bags to kitchens and canteens on campus while participating in routine clean up on campus and sensitizing their colleagues on proper waste separation. They are trained waste upcycler and recyclers.
